Baby Clothes Quilt

What are Baby Clothes Quilts?

A baby clothes memory quilt is a wonderful way to preserve all those memories from the adorable clothing items from your baby's first years. They are also a great way to reuse the clothes that are either too damaged or an entire outfit you just can't part with but would likely end up storing in your attic! Send those clothes to us and we will make them into a wonderful quilt and precious keepsake.

What does the customer need to provide?

Simply give us your washed baby clothes and we design a custom quilt, piece by piece, out of your clothes, attach a backing using machine quilting, and bind it with a coordinating fabric. The cost of the quilt covers all materials and labor.  Just box up the clothes and send them to us and we'll take care of the rest

What kinds of baby clothes can be used?

Any type of clothing can be used but some common choices are onesies, pajamas, shirts, dresses, costumes, bibs, hats, swimsuits, and sweatshirts. Thick or stretchy fabric is perfectly fine, whatever you have available, we will try our best to make sure it gets into your new heirloom quilt.

How many outfits do I need for a baby clothes quilt?

It depends on the size of the quilt you order.  Generally, for our style of quilt, you need about 15 outfits or pieces of clothing for the smallest size quilt, but for our most popular baby clothes quilt sizes, 30-40 outfits are the norm. It is always better to send a few more outfits if you have them but if your clothing pieces come up just short we will add a solid fabric block making sure to coordinate the fabric to fill in any empty spaces or gaps.
